Faith Kimberling holds a B.A. in English literature from Bucknell University and graduate credits in Dance education from SUNY Empire State. She has Dance Education Lab/DEL and Barre fitness teaching certificates and recently completed a Corvino Children’s ballet pedagogy workshop. Since 2006, Faith danced for Lori Belilove and the Isadora Duncan Dance company, dancing solo and ensemble roles both internationally, around the country, and here in NYC. In addition Faith taught for the Isadora Duncan Dance Company including company class and lecture demonstration performances about Isadora in public schools. Faith also danced 17 years with White Wave: Young Soon Kim Dance Company, enjoying performances locally and in China, Korea, and Inner Mongolia. She danced for CEule Dance Company and performed extensively in regional theater, her favorite roles being Cassie in A Chorus Line and Maggie in Brigadoon. Faith currently teaches 2-7 year olds creative dance, Duncan technique, and Pre-ballet at Bridge for Dance, the YMCA and in the park when the weather is nice. She has taught all ages for many years in various settings such as the Y, public and private preschool, elementary and middle schools, and at private dance studios. Faith is looking forward to sharing dance with children as a teaching artist with Mark DeGarmo Dance, and she hopes to impart not only the joy of movement, but also for the kids to learn about themselves and the world around them.
