Kathleen Kheel, BA, is the Director at Discovery Programs, an early childhood and arts enrichment program providing classes such as ballet, gymnastics, karate, parkour, music, and art on the Upper West Side.
Kathleen first joined Discovery Programs in 2007 as a dance teacher and early childhood teacher. She became the Director in 2010. She oversees all day to day operations including staff management, class schedules, parent communication, and special events. She still continues to teach dance, and was a modern and jazz performer with NYC based dance companies. Before Discovery, Katie was a legal assistant at Sidley Austin and The Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Division. She was a Co-Chair of the Junior Advisory Board at Her Justice, an organization which provides legal services to woman in poverty in NYC. Katie has a BA in Dance and Government from Connecticut College, and received the Joan Connell Memorial Dance Award for outstanding artistry in dance.
